With Expo 2010, Shanghai opening on May 1, all the buildings in Expo Park are displayed to the world. These buildings are all passing the concept of sustainable development of cities and building lower energy consumption society. The slogan of Expo 2010, "Better City, Better Life" , draws the attention of the world.

London Pavilion in Expo Park is the only zero-emission building in China now, also known as "zero carbon" Pavilion. This pavilion exhibits the latest technology and development of zero-emission during economic development of China and other countries in the world from multi angles. The pavilion can achieve self-sufficiency energy supply by utilizing clean wind and solar resources, and it will be permanently preserved as China's first zero-carbon Museum after Expo 2010.

On April 18, ZKEnergy’s full permanent magnetic suspension wind-solar hybrid pubic lighting system greeted the first batch visitors of Zero-carbon Pavilion with dazzling light, and it will continue to illuminate the outdoor area of Zero-carbon Pavilion every night. The system consists of vertical axis wind turbine, solar photovoltaic module, LED lamp, batteries and wind controller, and fully utilizes nature's clean-energy, wind energy and solar energy, to supply power for lights. It has both advantages of wind energy and solar energy . When there is no wind, it can generate electricity by solar panel, and when there is no sun, it can generate electricity by full permanent magnetic suspension wind turbine.

As ZKEnergy’s such system use magnetic suspension bearing of micro-friction and small starting torque, the wind turbine can start under very weak wind as slow as 1.5 m/s, and start to generate electricity under wind speed of 2.5 m/s, which improve the energy of generating electricity about 20% and ensure it can be widely used in 80% areas in China. By tested by Chinese Machinery Industry Wind Power Product Quality Supervision and Test Center, it is proved that the starting torque of ZKEnergy’s full permanent magnetic suspension wind turbine decreased to the national standard’s 1/12, starting wind speed decreased 57.14%, cut-in wind speed decreased 23.81%, and rated power increased 20.57%. When the system is running, it can independently generate electricity by take full advantages of natural resources, achieve zero emission, and fully achieve the target of zero-carbon economy.

This system provide continuous and stable power to the monitor devices by utilizing wind and solar power, which solve the problem that security monitoring system can’t work due to shortage of power. Through its camera, this system can panoramically view all the circumstances. By connecting with the original community (police stations, etc.) security video monitoring system, its ability is reinforced.
